October 2018 I was told I would lose my job in 4 months. Then when December rolled around I saw a job application to become a driving instructor. I wasn’t too sure about it at first but when I looked back at my learning experiences I knew I found a job I might enjoy.
Skip forward to March and I start taking lessons to become an ADI (Advanced Driving Instructor). 2 months later and I was in a new job in a warehouse (had to pay the bills some how) and then flash forward to last thursday… and I’m taking the theory test, the first of three exams. I have no idea how I did it but I managed to pass… barely… incredibly lucky.
So my lessons have begun again as I prepare for the next exam and a few things have come to my attention which my wife and I hadn’t worked out/considered. When you look at monthly costs (buying a driving instructor car, petrol etc) it adds up and eats into how much you make by a lot. The hours are great, picking my own times etc. but the cost is pretty high.
I guess I shall see how things go and keep up to date! I also have a few family stories I should post on here…
Until next time!
